  • How does home care work?

    Once you get in touch, we will provide clear information about the services we offer, including costs and care options.

    We will then arrange a time for a home or hospital assessment. From there, we will create a personalised care plan that fits your needs including preferred days, times and the most suitable caregiver.

  • Is care with Miranda Smith Homecare flexible?

    Yes. We understand that circumstances can change quickly. Our care plans are flexible whether you need to adjust times, pause care or increase support - we are ready to respond.

  • What is palliative care?

    Palliative and end of life care supports people living with life-limiting conditions. Our experienced caregivers provide compassionate, respectful care at home, adapting as needs change. We often work closely with hospice and community teams to ensure seamless support.

  • What is respite care?

    Respite care offers temporary relief for primary caregivers - whether for a few hours, days, or during a holiday. It’s a practical way to rest and recharge while ensuring your loved one continues to receive quality care at home, without the disruption of moving to a facility.

  • Do you provide dementia care?

    Yes. Our caregivers are trained to support clients living with dementia, including different types of diagnosis. We provide practical help with daily tasks, cognitive support and routines that promote comfort, dignity, and independence.

  • Can I have the same caregiver every time?

    We do our best to ensure consistency. Building trust with one caregiver is important, so we work hard to match you with someone who understands your preferences and becomes a familiar and reliable part of your routine.

  • Can I reach someone in an emergency outside office hours?

    Yes. Our ONCALL team is available after hours for emergencies:
